Pioneer CDJ 2000 Jog Wheel makes noises and isn't smooth
I have purchased a couple of used Pioneer CDJ-2000 from different sources, but in similar condition (very good, almost mint). I noticed one of the wheels sounds and feels rough. I took it apart and looked at it, everything looks clean. The springs are just right. What could be causing the wheel to make that bumpy and noisy sound? Thanks

They get worn over time, especially if the previous owner used them in vinyl mode a lot. I think there are some sort of rollers/bearings that they ride on and those moving parts wear. Thats the unfortunate drawback of purchasing used equipment

Has anyone else experienced this and fixed it?

When youre actually DJing most of the time the music is loud enough where you dont hear it. I never audibly noticed it on my old mk1s

I remember some CDJ owners (mostly 200's) putting a piece of slipmat under the platter/jog wheel to make it smoother.
