Want to see what folks of this forum actually do

Seems to be a number of different types of DJ here. Want to know how many are actually actively gigging out.

Me I am a Club/Bar DJ. Even though I quit my weekly, I still have a monthly gig. Mainly open format, but I tend to lean towards the electro and house side. I also do mobile from time to time.

I've played in a club three times, one wedding, more than ten house parties. I am producing radio spots and am starting to make music.

    ...so yeah, 'other'

I chose "Combo Club/Bar and Prod," although technically I do a bit more.

Over the years, I've done mobile DJing (mainly 1989-2012), radio DJing (1991-1992), club/venue DJing (2003-present), and production/remixing (1999-present). I was even active on the journalism side, with a "remix review" column that ran in Karaoke + DJ USA magazine back in the late 1990s.

These days, I will do the occasional club/venue gig (usually for "retro" nights, but not always), and I produce/remix occasionally. I still have the equipment to do mobile gigs and will, every once in a while, haul the gear out to DJ at a house party or other such event.

I consider myself retired kinda, because I no longer look to play out ever since I relocated, although I would if something landed on my lap with no effort from me.

I do still dig for tracks, play my FW show and mess with Ableton Live. Would that make me bedroom DJ again?

    club/bar/lounge/mobile

our main residency we've been doing as a crew since 2004. it's a bi-monthly we do on Thursday nights. there we'll play hip hop, funk, ghettofunk, moombah, breaks, house/electro, bmore club and sometimes dubstep and dnb.

started a new residency last year where we do all reggae, dub (not dubstep), and dancehall. this is also a bi-monthy. we play on the thursdays that aren't at the other venue.

i ran a night at the hookah lounge from 2004 to mid 2005

and just recently, we started a new night at an older venue, now run by new management. there, we have our large parties. the first two went well and the 3rd. well, we're bringing in Dave Nada, who we've had over a few times already so that's going to be bonkers.

in the summers we don't dj as much which is good cause we're busy enough with work and djing during the school semesters here at virginia tech.

    &

I do production on the side and one off mobile gigs.

i did my first wedding last saturday at chateau morrisette. also played for various social events for various groups around the university. also played at a few art galleries, which i'd love to do again.
