DJ Keizo Machine & Korg Hardware Question

Hey guys, new here and just getting started with DJ'ing.

I'm more of a home hobbyist then a DJ for social functions, so just looking to play around with sounds. Anyways, I have a couple of questions....

I came across some videos of Keizo Machine and am trying to figure out how he has the Korg Kassoilator Pro+, Korg KP3+ and Korg padKontrol all hooked up to his Pionner DDJSX2. Is everything hooked up to the DDJSX2? Is it all ran through a laptop and thus a program? Or is there an external piece of hardware that it is all wired into? There is a few different photos of his setup below.

Secondly, does anybody know what piece of Pioneer equipment that is in the first photo below underneath the Korg KP3+?
