Why is the sound lopsided on my Serato recording?

I just made my first mix in several years. I'm by no means a pro at this, I just did it for fun and took a long break. I just finished a mix and thought everything sounded great while I was playing out of my KRK Rokit 5 Speakers. I then uploaded it onto my iTunes, played through my headphones to hear all the details and the sound is on both sides but much stronger on the right. Any reason for this? What can I do to edit the recording now so that this isn't the case? I wonder if I play it in a car will it be so obviously lopsided?... because it seems fine on my speakers but I didn't test rigorously. just confused.

Hey guys no need to comment on this, I think the problem is my headphones, just unsure why when they're new. all good

Glad that your able to track this down. Lopsided stereo sounds are hard to pin down usually.

smells like a dodgy cable or plug, try them on other devices. If new, then back to the shop it is...

    Stick it in Audacity.
    Check the levels.
If levels are unbalanced, check recording signal path.
If levels are balanced, check listening signal path.
If all signal paths are checked and sound still unbalanced, see doctor. Medical one, not Dre. New headphones from Dre is never a solution.
bored, curious, deaf or just bad taste in music?
    finally a mix by me
and what's this, another shoddy mix...another dull mix
