Need some help setting for new years party

OK, so I set up my little system and I'll explain how I have everything connected that way there's no confusion... before I start, the problem I'm experiencing is that one of my speakers needs to be turned ALL the way up and it still sound's a bit low maxed out.

    Here's the speakers.
1- 18" b52 act pro HD powered sub./with bbe sonic maximizer.
1- 15" alto true sonic powered speaker
1- 15" electrovoice zlx powered speaker

    How I have them connected.
Everything is running off the same House outlet.
    Sub is connected to power.
I have the EV connected to the RIGHT OUTPUT of the sub (xlr to xlr)
From the EV to alto. EV xlr out to Alto minijack to 1/4" jack. Input into the alto.

The EV sounds great at at -18 dB while the alto I have to have MAXED OUT, to even hear it....which is weird. The only thing I can think of is the connection between the two tops....

Have you tried connecting directly to the Alto? Or even changing the order(alto --> EV)?

Yeah that is your likely problem, why don't you just use a standard XLR cable there? And why are you daisy chaining the Alto off the EV? Why not use the other output from the sub?

I tried to run the 1/4" directly from the sub (left channel) of the sub to the alto, and same result.
I'll pick up another xlr to xlr tomorrow and try and run direct, instead of daisy chaining.... I hope that's what it is.

This is the first time I've taken the sub out for a spin, so I may have some things mixed up. Lol

The mini jack is your problem .. get another regular XLR cable and go straight from the sub to the speakers.

    UPDATE:

The mini jack combined with daisy chaining the tops was INDEED the problem.
Hooked up xlr direct from sub to top and BAM! we were in business!

I achieved the whole "TURN THE BASS DOWN" about 10pm... wasn't even clipping!
No cops all night, and ROCKED that corner of the block proper!

HAPPY NEW YEARS GUYS, and thanks for the help!
