    Do my 2900's need repair?

    Hey guys,

I took receipt today of my new (second hand) Denon SC2900's.

My problem is on both platters, when I jog them to start beat matching they will skip/not register the jog and require multiple attempts to execute.

They are in good condition apart from hat issue, and all other features work fine, just the jog wheels?

Any advice appreciated as I might book into the nearest repair place which is a bit of a nightmare to access and expensive to repair/diagnose so thought I would see where im at a after asking you guys!

    Many thanks, Zeebedy

Capacitive jogwheels have problems with bad grounding and static current from the body. If you place your hand on the jogwheel and it doesn't detect it, try again by placing the other hand on something metal and grounded (mixer chasis?)

Mixer is not the problem, I just suggested a way for you to troubleshoot the issue (it can be a grounding problem or a hardware issue in the SC2900's).
