    Newbie DJ & Shadowing.

    Hey guys,

So I am a newbie DJ.. New set up on its way - been having a play on Virtual DJ and made some good sets - so I have thought anyway.

I would love to start doing gigs at some point soon, obviously I know it takes time and its all about who you know.

What does everyone think about the opportunity of shadowing a good DJ? E.G Theres a few clubs down my end where DJ's hire and throw gigs etc - what about if I was to get in touch with them, explain my situ and see if I could shadow them for the gig or something?

Look forward to hearing your thoughts.

I don't see anything wrong with the idea of shadowing a DJ as a way of learning more. And it's possible they'd let you hang out when they practice in addition to attending a gig. Why don't you get in touch with the DJ's you have in mind and see what they say? The worst that can happen is they say no.
