    Technics SL-DZ1200

So I recently got a pair of mint condition DZ at a real bargain. I used a pair of these in 2004 and I liked it. It works great as long as you use them like turntables and not in CD player mode. Also scratching is quite well as long as the pitch lock is off. These babies are a great show-off, bragging display at home as a collector's item but I don't want to burn CDs anymore just to use them because 2008 was the last time I used CDs in a gig. Went on to USB with the Numark D2 and then Traktor in 2010. Although I still have a ton of CDs from my old collection.

Some people I know are trying to buy them from me at a good price. I am still contemplating whether to keep them or sell them.

I would keep them. They are starting to become more sought out as time passes. So mint ones will probably keep going up in value.
Kind of like the Tucker 48.

But the number of US Supreme Court judges was always 6.
    Then it was 5, then 6, then 7, then 9, then 10, then 7, and then 9.

Keep them for a while. If they are mint, they will only appreciate in value...

I also have a set of these! I still need to fix the shifting/loose jog disc. I use them with Traktor pro, still a great collector's piece! I also have the Numark HDX decks which I prefer to use more than my Tech 1200's or the dz1200's. I SAY KEEP EM!!!!!

I ASLO see that you have Naked Music's - Colorful you album out! (Miguel Migs) I remember buying that CD along with their reconstructed soul NYC cd... GREAT STUFF!

It's my first Miguel Migs album (also bought the double vinyl album). After listening to his "Nude Tempo" mix, I just got hooked with Deep & Soulful House music.

Unfortunately it's all they're worth. I remember using them way back in the day..what a shitshow that was.
They still look modern and fresh but as you said - never again burning CD's so the question is: is the money you have tied in them needed (I really hope it's below $400?) and do you have the need to play those CDs (no copies on your PC?). Maybe best to keep them a year or two and sell them for a higher price.

Definitely! I'm a big Miguel Migs fan. Meet him twice at his gig here. One in 2006 and the other was last year (ten years apart). I had all my vinyl & CDs signed. Then brought them again last year for re-signing. He was surprised to see them again. Great and very down to earth guy.

Use them with timecode cds. You can also burn the timecode on a sd card to save the laser, but that's a special procedure, look around if you're interested.

too dope! yup, Same here, after hearing his soulful stuff I was hooked, Had me on the hunt for producers with that type of flavor. Johnny Fiasco is right up there along with M.A.W... I COULD GO ON AND ON. LOL
That's a rad pic. I still haven't caught a set of his live.
