Xone 23 to KRK rokit RP5G#

    Hi there,

Ive just connected up my Xone 23 mixer to My Rokit 5s, both are brand new,

Unfortunately im getting quite alot of Low frequency noise at higher volumes, I think it may be that i've used XLR to XLR cables?

Can anyone shed any light on this?

    Thanks in advance

You're getting some ground noise from somewhere. Could be a dodgy cable somewhere, or if you have a laptop plugged in a different mains outlet.

    Thanks for the reply,

The xlr cables from mixer to speaker are brand new as well, do you know what else may be causing it?

Ive got two technics 1200s running into the mixer, but I don't think that would have any affect on this?

That could be your problem eventually. Try swapping your carts around and make sure you have clean contacts etc, and if not that double check the grounds on the technics. It's a bit of finding out the culprit following steps...

Are the speakers on the same table as the record players?
Are the speakers pointing at the record players?
bored, curious, deaf or just bad taste in music?
    finally a mix by me
and what's this, another shoddy mix...another dull mix

Found the issue guys, the 1200's earth cables weren't connected to the mixer .

Thanks for your help though guys.

Hmmm thought that was a grounding issue
