Thread: Creamfields 2012

  1. #11
I couldn't face Creamfields. Sonar is great though, I went a couple of years ago with a bunch of friends. We rented a yacht in the Barcelona marina for a week which made a cool change from hotels/hostels. Really great 'festival', though it's really more like a block party in the centre by day and the most ridiculous warehouse party ever by night.

The new Bloc site is nuts and I for one can't wait for Snoop Dogg b2b Richie Hawtin...

Think I might be on Bloc. Agree with Creamfields being a chavfest.

    1.chav
Picture this a young lad about 12 years of age and 4 ½ feet high baseball cap at ninety degrees in a imitation addidas tracksuit, with trouser legs tucked into his socks (of course, is definitely the height of fashion). This lad is strutting around, fag in one hand jewellery al over the over, outside McDonalds acting as if he is 8 foot tall and built like a rugby player, when some poor unsuspecting adult (about 17/18) walks round the corner wanting to go to mcdonalds for his dinner glances at the young lad, the young lad jumps up in complete disgust and says “Whats your problem? Wanna make sommin of it? Bling Bling” when the adult starts to walk towards the young lad, the young lad pisses himself and runs off to either his pregnant 14-year-old girlfriend or his brother in the army crying his eyes out.

My mate has become a chav what can i do? answer is shoot him before it is too late

Not that interested in dance music more a drum and bass head, but the tickets are cheap and the line up is pretty crazy and there are a few dnb artists which made me buy the ticket.
and there are chavs at every festival you just have to leave them to it. i think there will be more pretty girls dancing to guetta and calvin harris than chavs anyways

Really looking forward to brookes brothers silent disco on the friday night. and andy c/ friction/ prototypes/ sub focus/ groove armada and deadmau five

See it being a chav fest put me off. I just took a look at the lineup today. There are some awesomeness (chemical bros), but most of it is bullshit Guetta, Skrillex, Deadtwat, Avicii, basically the shittest cheesiest bullshit electronic music has to offer.

tad narrowminded view bro, you have basically taken the 4 so called "crapiest" artists from 140+ lineup. there is a buttload of good artists if you actually have a look at the rest.
kinda like me dismissing bloc beacuse my dad likes gary numan and snoop dogg did that crappy sweat song. (thats an example, i do respect both of those dudes as talented artists)
imo though, half the fun of festivals is the chilled festival atmosphere, stupid camping and big crowds, as well as the music.

And out of the entire lineup there are maybe 10 acts I like. Out of the possible festivals to go to Creamfields is one of the worst imo.
