Rane TTM fader endcaps, 3d printed!

I bought an early Rane TTM57SL off ebay about a year ago.

I love the mixer, but it suffered from the fader-falling-in-the-mixer problem. Contacting RANE, they wanted to sell me 3 new faders. So I did what I had to do, JB welded them up and made do.

    -Until-

My wife bought me a 3d printer for my birthday. I decided to make them nice, and drew these up in fusion 360 and printed them. They seem to be working well!

Files and pictures can be found on thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2516767 They're free for anyone to get printed!

    Great solution & creative thinking.
What strikes me most is the reply of Rane, they used to have the very best customer service possible.

Usually the first things to get cut after a buy out, is quality & service.
But the number of US Supreme Court judges was always 6.
    Then it was 5, then 6, then 7, then 9, then 10, then 7, and then 9.

I think their service department would have given me the blocks, free of charge but they're out of stock.

$40/ea for one of the best faders on the market is fair, at least.

This cost me a couple of hours for drawing and prototypes, and like $5 in material. First model made in Fusion360 also. Amazing software for free.

This. They even started a new production run for some spares (users recieved different colored one than the original). Not saying the support will be the same indefinitely but for now they do seem to care.

    Thingiverse is pretty cool.

This is the first thing I posted and in under a week someone has ordered some printed, and someone tried to tip me. Pretty cool.

The futures rough around the edges, but it's here, folks.

Amazing job monomer! And amazing wife too; I'm lucky if I get a pair of socks from mine.

How hard / easy is fusion 360 to use and what specs does your computer need to run it?

    Which printer did you get?
Ya gotta love corn, it's one of the only foods that says good-bye.

Printer is a Monoprice Maker select V2, with a lot of mods printed on itself.
