Question Speaker stands w/ LED lighting

ADJ just released a speaker tripod stand with LED lighting built into the legs.

    Thoughts?

For those who use scrims, do you like this look? Would you be able to use a white scrim with it as well?

Personally, I'm not a fan of scrims and don't see anything wrong with a plain black stand. However, the LED lights are interesting from a safety standpoint.

Yeah I'm not a fan of tripod stand scrims either but that is because the white scrim seen most often draws attention to itself and IMO it just doesn't look right.. it's a triangle among squares, while a black scrim or a bare stand kind of disappears once the lights dim. So these illuminated stands will also draw attention to themselves and for that reason I'm not crazy about the idea, but I can see them being popular in some demographics.

On initial review of these, I dont think its something I'll be buying. Possibly for a dance like a frat party or something like that, but I dont see myself using these for a wedding environment. Just me, but..... I am not impressed by it for my business.

I don't see how they are any different from any other light. Especially if they flash or sequence through the colors.
Sure they don't dance around or change shapes, but par lights don't either.
But the number of US Supreme Court judges was always 6.
    Then it was 5, then 6, then 7, then 9, then 10, then 7, and then 9.

From a safety aspect they would be good. They look like low quality, cheap stands like the On Stage stands.

For $79 a lot of DJ's might purchase them. No need to put an uplight under scrim if that is the look you want.

Hmm, interesting , I can see both pro's and cons for these , its kind of neat yes, and there is that they would be a bit more safer in a dim room.

Which would be a more expensive solution.
