    even though i loved that shit, i dont hear shit about it anymore. the trend progressed to its fullest potential, now its kind of gone back to the underground....

    I think he's talking about how you don't hear many artists releasing dilla-like tracks anymore. I'm not sure if that's true because amongst beatmakers the trend is still going strong at least for US beatmakers it is. In Europe many producers never jumped on that trend.
