The only difference is it's black.
And they're doing a whole separate launch!

But the number of US Supreme Court judges was always 6.
    Then it was 5, then 6, then 7, then 9, then 10, then 7, and then 9.

If that's the case, they need to put the new 12 on a serious diet - it's way heavier than its predecessor. I've picked one up - totally took me by surprise.
Ya gotta love corn, it's one of the only foods that says good-bye.

It's the same weight, even a bit lighter. You are confusing GR with GAE.

People will say what they want about Technics, good and bad but there's no disputing the quality and craftsmanship that goes into these turntables. It's no surprise why they last as long as they do. Will that be the case for all the other brands? Time will tell.

You are correct, time will tell. My Vestax Pdx 2000's are 12 years strong and still going like the first day I bought them. My Stanton Str8 150's still going strong after 6 years. So far, so good. I used 1200's for 19 years had to replace the rca's and re-calibrate the pitch other than that they did me well. Pretty good for a turntable that was not designed for djing. They are audiophile turntables but had features dj's found useful and that made it the standard for dj's. Personally, I think if Technics/Panasonic wants to make a 1200 specifically for dj's, they must make user replaceable rca's, power cord, ground wires or internally ground, and make the pop up light user replaceable. These are a must have for dj's who use their turntables daily. Peace be with you..........Rob Mixx

    It was. MK1 wasn't.

What model did they make with user replaceable rca's and such? They never marketed a dj turntable.
