    Dicers

I put these on my Christmas list and I'm hoping (and being very good) it was them that got delivered the other day. Any of you guys use them with Serato in a DVS set up, and got any good tips? I've never actually touched them before but now really wanting physical buttons for loops after I got used to using my controller.

Dicers are really nice and simple to give you some basic control over your setup.

I have also seen people use them for EFX and loops (You can use one dicer for both decks and the other for a few simple effects over master out)

You will be very happy with them!

Nice one, I can't wait to have a play. I've got a novation nocturn I use for the FX knobs, am hoping I can get a mapping between them to load tracks so I don't have to touch the laptop mouse or keyboard.

I would use the Novation to browse and load tracks as you said and the rotary for efx.

Since the pads are big on the dicers you can use those for hot cues as well which would be nice for some remixing.

    Dicers are really nice.

You can manually set some buttons as well, worth doing for next track or whatever function you need quickly or use a lot.

I have been using Dicers with my turntables for 4 years now and I just love it. I used it with my X1 (to control the knobs and loading) before but since I got an Ecler Nuo4 early this year I skipped using the X1 at home (and just use it for gigs), I mapped the knobs, loading track functions, filters, etc of the mixer to Traktor and use the Dicers for triggering the effects, cue points and looping. It's a perfect combination for me.

Well i've only had a short play on christmas day with them and loved them on the preset mappings, next week when my mum and stepdad leave, I'll get the house to myself during the day and I'll have a proper play around with them, should get my new headphones delivered too and then i'll be in my element!

I got my new headphones today so had a couple hours on my decks this afternoon and it was great!

I've not changed the default mappings and got HP & LP filters and Delays mapped to my Novation Nocturn knobs and now I'm actually very satisfied with my setup just using the auto loop buttons and that's it. I might start using que points over time but never really bothered with them in the past. I dicked around with the loop rolls a bit but I don't think I'd use them in front of people yet.
