JBL SRX718 vs VRX918SP

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if these two speakers are the same with the exception of the 918 being self-powered?

Do they sound the same?

Which one is best for mobile DJ?

Which one would you purchase and why?

The boxes are the same size, but the SRX718 uses a JBL 2268H woofer and the VRX918 uses a 2268FF woofer. I'm not sure what the difference is...

The VRX has rigging hardware, too, so it's a bit heavier.

"Which one is best" is a question we can't really answer without more info - Are your tops powered? If they are, I'd get the VRX. If your tops are unpowered, get the SRX.

One has hardware to fly it and one doesn't. If you don't need to fly the sub, save the money and buy the SRX718.
