My First Jewish Wedding - Any suggestions?

I am DJing my first Jewish wedding in March of next year. What are some songs that I should have? Anything else I should know? FYI - I am meeting with the client in a few weeks but I wanted to go into the meeting with some info. Thanks in advance for your response.

Funny responses I guess there must not be a lot of people who do Jewish events on here. Interesting.

Most of the large companies in NY, Chicago and LA who do a lot of Jewish events don't frequent this site. Jews love to throw money around when it comes time to celebrate (unlike some of the ghetto gigs that I get )

They are the $3,000-10,000 per wedding, $5,000-10,000
Bar Mitzvah companies who do their own thing which is a lot of interactive MC'ing. Almost like actors doing a performance. I went to a Bar'vah here in LA and the company had lots of give-a-ways, dance lessons, magic acts and what not. It was like going to a vaudeville show. They were not concerned very much about what lights, wireless mics, subs, controller vs. CDJ issues that they have here, LOL!!!

Just rethink this wedding and become more interactive as a MC. Don't stand behind your gear with a mic like some schmutz and do the announcing, get out on the floor and do it. Introduce family and friends, but don't tell jokes, pretend youre on tv and become vivid and colorful, let a family member tell the jokes--youre just a Goy, they want to hear a funny story from a family member
and remember to go by the itinerary!

I do Catholic weddings but I don't really play any music outside the norm..... just more of it. Its usually a P-A-R-T-Y & goes longer than most other weddings/celebrations around here.

The Money Dance originated with these faiths so.........
