fader start / control cable info

I just purchased a Denon DNX 120 and two CDJ200s.
I would like to try and use the crossfader start control. It would seem the denon needs a 3.5mm stereo plug, but the Pioneer manual only mentions the "supplied control cable".
Does anyone know if the denon and Pioneer control line, in /out ports are compatible?

Unlikely, although the connections are the same (3.5 mono jack) the protocols are slightly different AFAIK.

Yes, i did some Google searches and it would seem out of the box it would be a no go.
Someone did mention success with a mono plug vs stereo, ti get them to play.
Im going to do some more research. I doubt its actual data, probably just a switch contact, but knowing if its normally open, closed, etc will be the key.

Would be REALLY helpful if someone with a pioneer mixer could plug in their control line to the mixer, leave the cdj end unplugged and actually measure that.
Take a multi meter and measure resistance across, tip, ring and sheild, if a stereo jack, or just tip and ring if mono.
And let us know the condition when fader at zero and fader not at zero.
    Ill measure my denon tonight.

Well, its not a simple switch
Looks like .04 sec neg trigger with the fader going up and it goes possitive with the fader going back down.
