I use Panasonic Toughbooks cf30s and cf52. Name another laptop I can drop 6 feet or spill a drink in and it keeps working....

I use a Mac for the reliability factor. Not the hardware in particular, but the OS is rock solid. My experience with Windows 7 vs. Lion or Mountain Lion is enough to make me stay on the Mac side.

For mission critical applications I always lean towards a Mac when possible.

I have a new HP that I use with Virtual DJ. Quad-core processor, 6 gigs of ram. Plenty of power! I don't use Macs.

    Seriously???

Why do people keep asking this question knowing they're going to start the whole PC vs Mac thing?

ANY decent NEW laptop on the market today should be able to handle DJ work.

The rest is up to preference and what you desire as far as internal storage space. There is NO correct answer as to which laptop is "BEST".

    ^^^ This.

All lap-tops coming out now are more than powerful enough to run good DJ software and play up to 4 decks with no issues, just get one that you like
    and feels fairly solid.

Not another PC vs Mac thread.

You need faster processor and high RAM. Which company notebook doesn't matter. HP/Dell/Apple everything is fine as far as you have fast processor and 8GB RAM and you don't download porn and pirated music.

If you want to stick to a PC go with a Alienware or a Dell

    That's below minimum spec.
