No crossfaders? two(unnecessary)headphone jacks.Different,Yes,Pretty,No!and at that price point,I rather get the sexier Rane mp 2015 (rotary with 2 soundcards).

I'd rather have a crossfader, and could not care less about 2 headphones jacks, master and booth EQ. Puny jack for the record out, and weird location for it. Lots of quality mixers available for less than that.

Strange, for me I see it as a great innovative techno mixer.

2 cues for when playing with a partner, great for back to back sets. Plus ability to connect 2 mixers. Really nice.

The EQ seems...good. Almost unhead of on Dj mixers. They still could have used with putting a Q control on it though.

As for the crossfader, I see it as of no use for the mixer's intended purpose.
bored, curious, deaf or just bad taste in music?
    finally a mix by me
and what's this, another shoddy mix...another dull mix

All that said, I'll be keen on reading reviews for it. At that sort of price, it should be nothing short of exceptional.

They want to bring back pure audio quality in the clubs and that's great. The way you can manipulate the sound with features such as parametric filters and master EQ looks interesting. The lack of crossfader at first was odd, until I realized that my crossfader hasn't moved for a year, standing in the middle, lol. I would include it in Model2 though.

The mixer was introduced at Boiler Room in Berlin May 3th, but I don't seem to find a clip. Anyone?

I don't know why I didn't notice it upon my original post, but why is it not a rotary?

+1, the master EQ is best left in the hands of the sound engineer.

A noble cause, but I don't think the DJ mixer is the place to start....

I beg to differ, since the DJ mixer (and the stuff attached to it) in most cases forms the weakest (and of course, the first and therefore the most crucial point audio quality wise when you start iterating) link in the signal chain. However, as mentioned earlier, there might be too much EQ/filters for a DJ to handle during a performance.

Interesting product though, especially now that the boutique, all analog rotary mixer market (E&S, the resurfaced Bozak etc) is booming with little to no attention paid to fader mixers. Of course getting someone like Hawtin to promote it is deemed to create more hype.

The idea of placing the aux sends to such a "sweet spot" from the audience viewpoint and ditching the crossfader were among the other things that got my attention.
