    Just got the DJM-900NXS2

Man! This thing is a serious piece of equipment! I just got it unboxed and setup. Now I have to go and watch some videos to figure how to use all of the stuff that it can do

It's nice. I actually like it better than the DJM-S9. It gets hot as hell if it's been on for a while though

Nice mixer but not even close mate

Soundwise A&H, Ecler, Rane, Rodec, Formula Sound, a.o. blow any DJM out of the water

Pioneer claims to have greatly improved the sound quality on the NXS2.

As an Ecler and DJM owner, yes the Ecler sounds way much better. The the DJM-900 kicks every mixer out there in terms of functionality, ease of use, effects section and its well designed layout. As I said, it's the ultimate club mixer.

Also, even if a club is using a Rodec or Ecler mixer but the system is crappy, then there is no way that those mixers will make the club sound better. However, if a club has a good and decent set up with proper tuning and calibration, then the DJM900 should work fine.

I don't have a problem with how the nx2 sounds, but shit sound is cumulative. So having an inferior sound system/room with an inferior mixer would be worse than the same sound system/room with a better mixer.

i hope you will be glad with it, as the djm 800 wasnt such a success for the qualified djs back in the days, i saw some improvements on the djm 900, didnt hear its sound qualities but i got the chance to try his build, for me, its just a try and learn from pioneer from the djm 800 with more effects as obvious as it is
