Using a phono and aux line on same channel

Basically I have a numark m2 and am playing both cdj and vinyl, is there any negatives if I use the aux in for the cdj, and phono for vinyl on the same channel? And then just a cdj on the other?

If the mixer has a switch to select the two inputs then you are fine, if not then no you can only connect 1 device at a time.

Yeah it has a switch so I can go back and forth, I was just writing to make sure I am not damaging or over doing sonething inside the mixer 😂 thanks
