TECHNICS 1200 MK5G's or RELOOP RP 800's ???? NEED HELP DECIDING

hey guys so i posted on this forum for advice on the mixer i want to buy -- now it comes time for the decks. Obviously the technics are tried and tested I'm sure i wouldn't ever be upset for buying them. However i like the pads on the reloop as far as digital performance. Does anyone have a set, how do you like the pads, are they just cue points or are they midi-map-able. Hows the torque on the motor compared to the techs. Do they read USB's like a cdj or is it just a USB record out. I'm taking the time before my purchase ( for the first time EVER **impulse buyer** ) so any info would be greatly appreciated as i just want a product i can keep a long long time.

AFAIK is the USB on the RP8000 only to transmit the MIDI signal to the computer.
You can also buy an external MIDI pad, to get both.
The Hanpin (Reloop) has a much stronger motor.
I dont know the RP8000 and not the M5G.

I have Stanton ST150s (The same Hanpin base as the RP) and Tech1210 MK2's. I prefer the Motor of the Hanpin but the Fader of the MK. The Tonearm of the 1210 has slightly less bearing clearance than the Stantons. On the other Hand the Stanton's have much more possibilities (startspeed, brakespeed, pitch ratio, integrated preamp, groundlift, etc).

I think the Technics won't fall in price as low as the Reloop once u try to resell it. But if you want to get a new one, you will pay a ridiculous price for them. If you buy them second hand, you should know how to judge its condition, and if needed to change Tonearm, calibrate the pitch etc.
You will probably keep both for a long time if you maintenace them propperly.

nice than you -- I had no idea the st150s had so many features. the price isn't really my issue i know either way I'm going to spend a couple Gs, I like the mk5s because of the clout that goes with them and they look absolutely amazing. I wont choose on looks though thankfully. So the pads on the 8000s are just multiple cue points then? like hot cues?

It's adjustable, so if you prefer the low torque of a Technics 1200 you can set it that low.

But the number of US Supreme Court judges was always 6.
    Then it was 5, then 6, then 7, then 9, then 10, then 7, and then 9.

Pads are just hotkeys. USB is just sending MIDI signal. Basically eliminating the need for extra hardware for triggering cues, loops, etc.

    Agreed

If you have the chance to buy MK5 G's there should be no hesitation, simple as that.

Buy the Reloops if you like the features, but in 15 no 20 years, will they still be working? I'm not so sure.
