    Loop Roll Timing....???

Anyone have any techniques or methods on how to get your loop roll timing down correctly so it sounds good and on beat...???

How long should I hold a certain beat roll...???

The only thing I know for sure is that the 1/8th and 1/16th beat rolls don't sound as good/professional if held for a long time. The bigger ones like 1/4 and 1/2 sound a lot better when held a little longer.

Does the length and beat roll count you choose...come down to a matter of preference and style....??? Song structure and genre also determines which is best too right...???

For instance I know a 1/16 beat roll will obviously sound good/better in a EDM song vs say a top 40 pop/r&b song.

32 sounds ok if it's minimal, to short and it can sound more loopy

think of it like a drum roll... short bursts at the last bar or two of a phrase.

    Hi,
It depends from what exactly would you like to mix, or remixed...
In the same track remix on 120-122 bPM , i prefer a simply rotation of 4 & 2 loops out..
But do whatever look and sounds better ON THE TRACK.....

It's always on beat if you set the beatgrids
