& so it begins again .... (20 years later!)
After asking many questions on this forum & getting LOTS of help from fellow enthusiasts regarding a setup, i finally placed the order & it came today! The only left to buy was speakers & in the end i went for some Rokit 5's that i bought used but in excellent condition for £130 the pair & included all leads
anyway below is my temp setup until i build a new desk for the setup over the next week, my toys are:
2x 12010 mk7s
Traktor Kontrol z2 Mixer (includes DVS etc)
Concorde digi carts
Rokit 5 Monitors
last decks i had were 1210 mk2's that i sold around 1999... but i never sold my vinyl! i will be using this setup with DVS (which was why i bought the Z2 mixer as it comes with everything needed) but vinyl will be my main media!!
few pics! ....excuse the mess! we have not long moved into our new house so in middle of sorting it.. but priorities first *cough*decks*cough* \o/
The smell of fresh turntables.
Happy days.
bored, curious, deaf or just bad taste in music?
finally a mix by me
and what's this, another shoddy mix...another dull mix
Noice!
would love to get my hands on them mk7's
That's one hell of a way to get back in the game!
I literally got my hands on one a few months back. I'm not sure if you saw my post about it here: http://www.djforums.com/forums/showt...hnics-1200-MK7, but I wasn't impressed with them. Hopefully tizdaz can give us a quick review of them since he'll be able to actually play a record or two and qwell any fear of the MK7 being of a lower quality than their predecessor.
Ya gotta love corn, it's one of the only foods that says good-bye.
