Yep, did everything myself, didn't go so smooth at first but I got everything sorted out in the end.

actually the dnx 1600 is a perfect "battle" scratching mixer. the 909 is a relic. djm700+ basically are just as good as 909 at scratching. all the big name scratching DJs either use 800s or 57s, i guess jazzy jeff uses a 909.

yea 909s are super sweet, but really any new mixer works just perfectly for scratching, possibly so much so a 909 is not even any better(maybe worse just due to age).

does vestax even sell mixers anymore? i dont ever see anyone posting those anymore.

I think the xfader on the 1600 is great, adjustable, replaceable, can be made plenty sharp, etc. But I'm not a scratch DJ so don't listen to me.

You trippin? You think a proper battle mixer with nothing on the bottom half of the faceplate except the faders and fully adjustable fader curves is not better for scratching than a 4 channel club mixer with all the bells and whistles getting in the way of your hands?

They're like comparing a tractor and a ferrari. They might cost the same, but if you want to go fast you don't want the tractor. If you want to plough a field then the ferrari is a dumb choice.
