Post pics of your setup. 2.0 part 1

This is not my first setup by any means, but it is my current one and I am happy as hell with it. If you are looking to get into this inexpensively, and do not want to go the controller route, take note.

Total cost = $310.00 (minus carts, headphones, and some custom stuff I did)

Its been migrated around the house, but the structure and stand was setup fairly cheap with random ikea items. The desk is a kitchen cabinet and counter top. The desk shelves are dvd stands. The decks rest on a small expedit bookshelf. actually the window shade, spot light and led lighting around the shelves and decks are also ikea, now that I think about it.

These are the same 1200s and Vestax that I ordered around '01, and everything works perfectly. Setup is 2x Technics SL-1200 M3D, a Vestax PMC-07PRO, Traktor Scratch Pro 2 (with an Audio 8), a Lenovo T61, a set of Technics RP-DH1200 headphones, and a pair of Alessis M1 520s. I've since gotten proper monitor stands and ditched the milk crates.

its a nod to a setup my brother and i (and a lot of friends at that) used. when we would all get together to play we had a stack of cinder blocks we would build the dj booth with.

i used them to elevate the speakers to ear level. they have since been taken down and replaced with angled pieces of foam.
