Yeah, with these tracks its about just riding it out or layering and playing with folks- introducing snippets of another popular track and get them all anticipated... Tease them slowly. If you have 3 CDJs you can tease them for 3-4 songs before you finally bring it in. But your pairing of music has to be really on point. That's where having the files in the right location comes into play cause you will quickly recognize what goes with what.

No, Im a scout and help find artists. I will be doing some bookings for them in the future once I get things in order. Still learning the ins/out of booking, shared flight expenses, fishing for venues, artist relations, etc.

*finger guns*? is that what I call the 2 finger salute haha?

Ok, so I completed the tutorial. I will drop it tomorrow, friday, after 9AM standard time. I have only left to render it.

I mixed "reach for me (original)" with "stone". Both with heavy bass. (located below).

I used the ride/peel method. Peeling means to strip away some of the elements using EQS.

I introduced "stone" onto "reach for me" then swapped out the bass when reach for me hit its 2 break and stone hit its drum kick at the 32nd bar mark @:45 seconds. I then let both tracks ride while layered as I peeled reach for me slowly until stone hit its first break. I also looped the last few bars of reach for me to keep the chords at play and make it seem as part of the stone. However, I had to play with reach for me's mid level EQ to have it sit just right and not sound to over powering.

The key to the "swap" was to:

1- initially peel reach for me's bass, the outgoing track, at 9 o'clock (1/4) at the same time stone's drum kick dropped
2- lower reach for me's volume fader to the 3/4 mark, also as stone's kick dropped
