Two problems as I see it.
1 - It's a Mackie.
2 - Thumps are Mackie's entry level offering.

Fuck Mackie Thumps. I've already had 2 blown amp modules out of 3 of them.
The new Mackie thumps clip real early like the previous series. The zlx blows them away.
They'd be great for Karaoke, tertiary backups, and backyard BBQ duty.

I am not a hater, the two times I have heard Thumps (with a live band) I was actually surprised they sounded ok. Mostly vocals, not much low end being pumped through them.
They are a budget box like the Behringers, Alto, (JBL EON), Yamaha MSR, Peavey PR, etc. and a step below the SRM series which do not get any love around here since they switched from RCF drivers.
Just get a pair of LS801's and be done with it.

manufactures specs are useless because there is no standard to how they measure them.
RFC art a10's with only 400 watts RMS are 127 db the new Turbosound IQ 12's with 2500 watts RMS are only 126 DB.
I know more watts does not always mean more SLP but with over 6 times more power than the RCF and with over 2 times more power than the Thumps they should play louder.
