a couple of thoughts about battling

i know i have never battled anyone here, but here are a couple of my thoughts since i have been voting more since the beginning of djf 2.0

    1) i think people need to be more specific about their experience djing or with a genre. i have seen a few battles where guys were not evenly matched for whatever reasons. the scratch dj do it, but for whatever reason nobody else seems to.

    2) there needs to be something at stake. like the example in the "how to battle" thread. should be something like a month of having somebody else's links in the sig or "i was beat down by blah blah". think it would make things more interesting.

i know i need to battle, just haven't seen one yet, although i am interested in the 100 to 120 battle maybe i'll try to take the winner or loser, whichever i am more evenly matched with.

keep spinning i'll try to keep active on voting.

I think there is something like this in place already. I mean, when you win you get to put your victory in your signature as bragging rights. I don't think demeaning people by making them put a loss in their signature is really a good idea.

it would be something both parties agree to before the battle, so both people would agree to how "demeaning" it would be before hand. nobody would be forced to do anything unless they agreed and lost. in addition, i don't think having somebody's links in the sig is that demeaning. the old forums back a while ago used to have official battle stats.

Ah, thats fair. I didn't understand that the signature would be agreed upon by both parties. Not a bad idea.

lol seriously? do you realize how childish that sounds? battle someone for experience, competition to better yourself not to boast about the win on the internets

seriously, why are your panties in bunch?

It is supposed to be about fun. talking ish is about having fun and motivation.

you hardcore hiphop guys (i am assuming this becuase of your fav song) are really no fun. part of a hip hop battle is about talking shit in the mix/on the dance floor/on the wall/on the mic. it's a battle you gotta win bragging rights.

*it is in the how to battle thread, but i guess you are one of those people who don't read instructions,, huh?

    Yo!

In the battle forum we battle with our mixes... not with our angry fingers on our keyboards!!

So unless you have a mix to post up....stfu. (stick to fingering unicorns).

    That is all.

Guys, calm down. He was just expressing his opinion. You guys don't need to get all angry or personal about it.

thanks djnr. i really wasn't trying to get personal. i think hye likes to come to my posts and make wrong statements. this is the second time in less than a week. he also did it in a hip hop thread of mine. although last time he had the decency not to reply when shown he was wrong.

on a side note one of the things i like more about djf 2.0 is the divercity in styles has increased since 1.0.
