Technics SL-1200 MK2 Pitch LED not working after installing MK3D Pitch

Hello - I am new here and could use some help.

I just installed a new pitch fader (part# SFDZ122N11-3) on my MK2. The pitch now works fine, but the green LED no longer activates to indicate 0.

Is this normal? Also, is there any way to make the new MK3D pitch trigger the LED?

    Help much appreciated... thanks!!!!

Yes the LED won't work on the MK2 with an M3D/MK5 pitch control unless you solder them directly onto the board but the LED will continue lighting even if it's not set to zero.

You can but its not easy... you can install a switch for the quartz lock and drill a hole to mimic a m3d but not worth time imo

I emailed him to see if I could get the phono breakout box and quartz lock switch seperate...we will see soon enough.

I used to get his led kits back awhile back...I would recommend his pop up kit...it's crazy bright...light up the label wall and everything!

You can also buy the retro pitch pcb from kabusa. Then buy a m3d/mk5 style quartz lock button to mount to the bottom of rubber base under pitch
