    Or do like me, and grab some ol school towers from home stereo systems... Works just fine, but be sure you can have 1 monitor at ear level facing you. Go to this thread, you will see some pictures of set ups and it will give you good visual aid.

    Numark mixtrack pro 2 Does have sound card integrated, but only the pro version, the other one doesn't

    I think I'm leaning more towards the SB and upgrading from there in the Pioneer series as I get better.

    Monitors are smaller speakers usually used in a studio or home. PA speakers are those bigger, high SPL (loud as hell) speakers that DJ's/bands etc use for larger audiences.

    Okay, that's different lol. If that's the case, then I'd recommend the Audioengine A5+ speakers. They are at the top of your budget, but they sound great, and I've heard nothing but good things about them.
