At how loud do you ''feel'' the bass? (SPL?)

Sorry this might be wrong section but I wasn't too sure if this would fully apply to the "Amps/Speakers" section. Anyway I've always been curious to at what SPL level / Frequency is bass really 'felt'. I'm not talking about just minor feeling it, but I'm talking about moving your chest as you know it's there.

Another crucial factor that plays into this is distance. As you double your distance away from the source, the dbSPL level is reduced by 6dB. So if you're right in front of the cabinets, I'd say frequencies below 200 Hz at around 100+dB will start causing that lovely pounding in your chest. (I quote these figures based on the crossover points and dB measurements at the club I work at).

50-80Hz at 105-110dB at the listening position.

55-110Hz is where the money is at. Lower is icing on the cake.

A local promoter loves his JBL's. they play nicely down to.......57Hz.
