New EV speakers at NAMM 2014... the EV ETX series

I was hoping for units that upped the ante on the ZXA5's but looks like EV wants to put a lock on the mid-grade market with their new ETX series: http://www.electrovoice.com/pressrelease.php?id=1586

They look nice, have a 3-way in the lineup + feature DSP controls. Hopefully, the exterior will be tougher and more chip resistant than the ELX's were. More choices for everyone...

Look like a wood version of the ZLX with twice the power?!

Their press page is just that facebook comment, and that facebook page that made the comment hasn't posted any pictures. Link/mirror?

Edit: nvm I see the clickable photo on the press release page. Damn those look sexy. Might upgrade my ELX tops and put them on monitor duty with my Mackie thumps for my live sound gigs.

EV has taken the ZLX line, last years best selling speaker in it's class, and taken the engineering even further, added subs and the cabinets are wood.

    Shipping this spring.

Any word on having more useable output than the ELX line?

That's a good looking line of speakers. Ergonomics and cosmetics are almost as big a draw as performance to me.

They captured them before all the links were destroyed.

    Looking forward to actual specifications.

Good looking cabs. Concept sounds sound.

What I would like to see is powered QRx cabs. QRx 112/75p and QRx 118sp.
