Talking How's The Scene In Your Town?

Sup fellow Junglist's and Bass Heads!

So, Just thinking today, Seems like this year so far things are really picking up for us in Toronto again. We have always had a scene here for it but it seems to be starting off with a bang this year. Few events i'm excited for are Calyx & Teebee, Rene LaVice and Dilinja at the Guvernment. DJ Hazard, Original Sin, Phantasy, NC-17 at the Opera House. Mind Vortex at the Guvernment and Camo and Krooked at The Hoxton... All within a 3 week period This is on top of our weekly events we get with out awesome locals NC-17, Marcus Visionary, Capital J and Hydee (those are a few of the bigger locals) that we get to see every week if not more! Things just seem to be poppin here since the end of last year and it makes me excited to see what it brings

We've always had a scene and some names come here and there but...Not like that and not in major venues like that either.

How's shit been where you guys are?

vancouver has been doing really well the last while. in the last couple months we've had om unit, dbridge, skeptical, loxy, and friction. vancouver is def. on the deeper tip. we're doing a deep music every second wed. which has been doing really well.

kal, how's indigo live? we want to bring him across the pond.

Pretty decent. Over the last few months we have had DBridge, Black Sun Empire, Random Movement, Klute, AntTC1, Goldie, Andy C, Trace, Dylan, Dj Randall, Icicle, Homemade Weapons and a few others I'm forgetting. Bryan G is coming here this Saturday and we have a few parties during the week that is all D&B.

Meh kinda. When Brostep blew up, dnb was put on the back burner for a while. Things started picking up in the middle of last year for us. I remember a time where we had big acts several times a week. LOL in a week I saw, LTJ Bukem, Bryan G, Jumping Jack Frost, Dj Hype, Marky, Goldie, Fabio n Grooverider, Andy C and Friction. Those were the days.

    Line-up:

    BREAK - Retrospective Set

    Symmetry / Commercial Suicide / Critical/ Shogun Audio / Metalheadz /RAM

A talented musician with a wide range of influences, Break looks to push the barriers whatever he’s doing. Crisp breaks, heavy bass and strong melody are stable marks of his productions making him a firm favourite with a variety of the scenes top DJs. We look forward to hearing a special set featuring tunes that most influenced Break in becoming the man he is today.

Moving Shadow / Renegade Hardware / 31 Records

After his first release on Moving Shadow in 1996 Dom has collaborated with an array of artists, including Kemal, Black Sun Empire, Noisia, Hive, Amon Tobin, Keaton, and Skynet. He is credited, along with DJ Trace, with creating and popularizing the Tramen breakbeat, and XLR8R magazine called him "One of the finest talents the genre has ever seen." With recent weighty releases under his belt we have blagged Dom to play and half old and half new set, deffo getting sweateh.
