    advice required re sound cards

Hi. I'm pretty new to djing and im looking to get my laptop involved with my setup. I've got 2x cdj 1000 MK 2s and a behringer djx 900 usb mixer. I know I'll need a soundcard, software etc now so any advice/past experiences greatly appreciated !

I use serato SL3 for my soundcard and software.

It is virtually flawless and sounds awesome. the computer is the weak point.

Choose your software and THEN buy what you need to run it.

I've read the books like How to DJ right... to learn about... beatmatching, phrasing w/e , Speed Test Scrabble Word Finder Solitaire but when I go to mix...

Agreed. The Numark DJIO works well if you end up using Virtual DJ.

I recently got the NI Audio 2 with Traktor Pro software bundle and it was a great buy. Traktor has everything I could ever need in DJ software and the soundcard is a breeze to install and use.

I also noticed it halved the latency from my previous budget USB soundcard. I had a reading of 20.2 ms but after installing the Audio 2 soundcard this has changed to a latency of 10.1 ms.
