Does your old JBL setup compare to this new setup in any way?

    Nice Rack
There is no shortage of horsepower there but what is it driving? Is that an EV system... QRX212s over 218?

I REALLY miss my PL380's, those are great amps for sub duty. I used to use the PLX 3402 for mid-bass duty at one point as well, good choice for that as well as for tops. What is your Crest doing, monitor duty?

Yep, good eye, QRX212/75's over 218S's, plus 2 x EAW FR250z on each side.. there's one each side in the photo the others were rolled out a few minutes later.

I'm running 2 x EV subs on each PL380 and 4 X EAW subs on the Pro9200, then two tops per PLX3402, biamped. Definitely I could have done without the Crest, but I always bring an extra amp and processor to gigs that are far from home and since I had it I used it. It was pretty hot and sunny out...

For DJ monitors I'm using ZXA1's.. I've had them around 8+ years now, I had no idea then that I'd be getting the QRX's but now it matches nicely.

    1. the JBL vrx932lap top are louder but i dont miss the additional headroom as the trade-off is higher sound quality in the DB tech tops.
    2. In regards to sound quality, the NEW system is a level above the JBL VRX. The subs can not even be compared, the JTR's are producing frequencies I've NEVER heard in subs before demoing Bassboss. Music sounds different now....
    3. I think most people would say the VRX system is sexier if that really matters.
