What did you accomplish DJ-wise during the blackout?

I managed to achieve an old goal I had from 2003, in which I wanted to DJ in the main room of Ruby Skye

I also managed to get dropped while crowd surfing and had to get x-rays

I'll do a gig write up later, some funny things occurred.

    You deserved that.

I kind of stopped DJing as real life seemed to get in the way, but am doing more live sound mixing.

I have been working at Groupon for ~2 years and got married this past September.

I am still mixing and mastering.

I did a performance last November at a special event called "SRO Remix," which was the follow-up to 2010's "SRO25," a celebration of the 25-year anniversary of the (revered but defunct) SRO club here in Tulsa.

I was able to play music from my favourite musical era, to people who were actually clubbing back in the late 1980s. It was like performing at a class reunion, but instead of being students at the same school, most of the audience was made up of patrons from the same club from way back in the day.

It was an honour to be involved with it, and I consider my involvement to be one of my most significant DJ achievements, on a personal level, of the last few years.

Pushing myself for gigs finally after 10 years of just "letting them come to me." That's it so far as far as DJing goes.

On the production side, I met a goal I set 2 years ago... to have a production for sale on Beatport.com. Click here if you care to check it And click HERE for a longer (2 min) sample

I've also been asked to remix a track and have entered a remix contest as well (Check track submissions forum for those two tracks)

Next up, I have 2 more remixes to do.. I'm getting "No Set Beat" remixed by a guy with number 15 spot on Beatport top 100 in Breaks category (Kwerk), and am getting another person to remix it as well (Sneaker & The Dryer) Tons of originals and re-rubs on the way as well... Also I'm not affiliated with Kick It Recordings. Going to be a great year!

Photographed the heck out of countless Bay Area EDM events, which has put me in touch with a. bunch of promoters and DJs. I'm pretty sure it won't be long before I finally start playing out.

Also, I've continued showing up late for/playing my Faderwave slot.
