    RGBW vs RGBA?

    Hey!

I'm looking at buying some new wash/uplights, and I'm already pretty much set on Blizzard's Q6 series. (Unless someone else has any other recommendations?)

I just can't decide whether to go with the Q6W or Q6A.

I would prefer to stick with Quad LEDs as they mix colors better.

So are there any advantages/disadvantages of one over the other in terms of color?

    Thanks!!

It depends on the color pallet you need access to. RGBW will give you a better white, and access to pastel colors. RGBA will allow you to create more true and vibrant Ambers, golds, orange's, yellows.

Hmm, well that's really the problem, i'm not quite sure which would be more beneficial to me.

Right now i'm thinking I would prefer amber over white, only because I doubt I would need a very bright white. Both fixtures can produce white anyway, but the white version can't produce as nice of a yellow.

Also, I read on another forum that RGBA will also give you a better purple? Is that true?

    Thanks StevieRay!
