I'm only a few hours away from Tampa and those prices aren't close those out here.

Not that I check often. Maybe I should start.

Found this one. Not bad: http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/msg/2824799940.html

I paid £450 for a pair of mk3d's here in the UK works out to about $700 but that also included a pair of Ortofon cartridges

1200 Mk2's can easily be had for under $350 like stated above, even M3D's can be had for around the same price. Just gotta look out for them. Now Pioneer CDJ prices aren't reasonable.

    Agreed. Wholeheartedly.

I finally understand the point of spinning with CDJs and Serato…you have everything available and a halfway similar interface when you're spinning with vinyl at home and CDJs when playing out.

Technics are the industry standard turntable, for 33 years now. People pay for quality.

I bought my pair of Techs for $460 three years ago.

Checking craigslist now reveals they go for that much each.

If I were spending $1k on a deck, it wouldn't be Techs.

Compared to Technics' SL-1200 series prices, Pioneer CDJ prices are dirt cheap.
