So umm yeah at $1,000+ a deck, why are ppl still buying technics still?

I've seen T60s that were so abused the buttons would be pressed just by blowing at them. But the motor kept spinning and the tonearm was still proper. Even the led lights were burned out since the record shop that had em never bothered to turn them off. So its not like cheap turntables have to be of bad quality

This is a very good point. The majority of DJs upgrade before really wearing out a cheap set of decks.
