If you like what you see, give it some rep!
I dont think i've met anyone who was actually paying 1k for one.... most people I know are getting second hand for $300 to $400 a pair
Stantons are neither as good nor better to my hands. And nostalgia counts for something.
If anyone releases a turntable that's close to Technics in reliability and feel with a DVS sound card included, I'd seriously consider switching to them at home, but as long as it's mostly about feel, Technics win. That's why.
The guys above are right. Just because they're listed on ebay and big retailers like ProAudioStar and B&H for $1000 doesn't mean people are buying them. Granted, if I had the money, I would buy a new one in the box just to keep it as a piece of history.
Whoever is getting 1200s at $300-$400 a pair is stealing em. Everyone around here is selling theirs for $400+ PER DECK
Anybody else notice the 150's have gone up in price? They used to be $499 a deck and now they are $599.
I picked up a good 1200 MK II a few months ago for $250
