I mean really, Stanton ST.150 and the STR8.150 are just as good if not better and half the price... And there NEW...

    Thoughts?

Well I don't know about anyone buying them for that price, but being always on the lookout and picking them up for a steal is what most people do, especially if your not scared to get your hands a little dirty and replace some small things.

Stantons are neither as good nor better to my hands. And nostalgia counts for something.

If anyone releases a turntable that's close to Technics in reliability and feel with a DVS sound card included, I'd seriously consider switching to them at home, but as long as it's mostly about feel, Technics win. That's why.

hmm i dunno, i prefer technics because ive used them for 20 years, but even i'll admit that the stanton is a better turntable.

The guys above are right. Just because they're listed on ebay and big retailers like ProAudioStar and B&H for $1000 doesn't mean people are buying them. Granted, if I had the money, I would buy a new one in the box just to keep it as a piece of history.

Anybody else notice the 150's have gone up in price? They used to be $499 a deck and now they are $599.

I see pairs of MK2s go for under $500 usually.
Equipment: CDJ 2000 Nexus, DJM 900 Nexus, Ultrasone DJ1 Pro, AiAiAi TMA-1 Fool's Gold Edition.
