Ok, so has anyone tried using a DJM-850 as a 4 channel (SL4 equivalent) Soundcard with their Serato Scratch Live (SSL)?

Although it's Traktor Certified, the specs show it as a formidable equivalent to an SL Box?

The Serato website has one thread in the forum where one OP stated that the 900 sucked with SSL, however other than that one opinion, I can find ZERO feedback on anyone going this route.

    Any info appreciated.

SSL has never worked with third-party sound cards.

What are some key differences between the DJM 850 and 750? Effects?

I believe the 850 has additional/different effects. The 850 has colour effects for each channel, the 750 colour effects are only assignable to one channel (or master) at any one time. The 850 is also Traktor certified, the 750 is not. The 850 also appears to have an extra Mic input, and fader start on all four channels rather than just the middle two.

The effects are basically the same as the 900, minus a couple and minus the silly touchpad, but it does do the whole, once you move past 12 o'clock on the wet/dry knob a new parameter change kicks in, for example, filter on the reverb. The 850 also has something no other pioneer mixer has, that is the "sidechaining" of the colour effects, and it is pretty decent.
