Currently I use a Maya44 MKII soundcard in my CPU tower which I use when doing DJ events. I'm looking at getting a 2 channel sound card to replace this one. Does anyone have any recommendations on a solid card? Thanks
Chris

I assume that you mean 2 stereo (aka 4 channel) sound interface. If that's the case, I'd recommend the Traktor Audio 2.

If your talking about an actual sound card kinda thing, like an old modem card, which slides in a PCI slot on your motherboard, SoundBlaster always made a good card. I am currently using an old SB 512 in my old desktop. I think I also have a SB Audicy or something like that around here somewhere. If I was in the market for something like that, I would look at SoundBlaster.
If your sound "device or card" that came with your computer is out & your just wanting to replace it with something for sound or for listening to songs on youtube etc at home, a SB sound card will be a good choice I think. However, if your doing DJ work or anything where you need professional sound, I would also suggest the NI Audio 2 as KLH mentioned. I currently use that for DJing.
Unless your just wanting something for your PCI slot, SB also makes a little USB sound device kinda thingy too. However, unlike the Audicy or 512, the USB kinda thingy only has one out & one input. But I think you can configure the hardware for like 5 or 7 speaker configurations etc... I dont remember....
Last time I looked at anything like this was in the early 2000's so I really don't know what SB has available now.

I highly recommend against using an internal PCI card. There's a lot of noise within PCs that might seep into the sound interface if on the PCI slot. Use a USB sound interface and keep the noise within the PC.

My Maya44 sound card fits into a pci slot on the computer that I currently use for DJing. I've used it for a number of years and had no complaints with it. I'm currently building a rack mount CPU and will be installing another PCI slot sound card with it. I would be happy continuing to use my existing card as it has held up well but if there is some newer technology out their I would willing to give it a shot.
There is LOTS of newer technology out there outside of a PCI card. The NI Audio 2 we mentioned earlier is only about $100 & its a very good professional DJ sound card

Nothing wrong with the maya44. If you have any power supply noise go external but I wouldn't do it just because.
Whatever you find, make sure it has ASIO drivers, as this will result in low latency for DJing/Production.
