I'd like a touchscreen... and after getting flamed a few times on pioneers forum I knew it was the EOL for my 2000's

well then again, when the CDJ 1000 mk1 was launched, nobody could think of things to add either.
Im just doubting the validity of the source,ok, Pioneer is made in Malaysia but the site looks dodgy

you don't expect an official release do you? most of the info on new products is from dodgy sites so the person leaking it stays better hidden

that is very much true. If you think about new products make perfect sense. the DJM 700 has been around for quite some time now. a new sort-of-cheap-but-not-really mixer positioned under the 900 would be perfectly imaginable. same for the CDJs, a major update is possible, weve seen it before with the 1000s

yeah but so was the cdj1000 then the update is better.

this industry is cut throat, update update update or the competition will. the more dj's get these awesome tools, the more they find ways to use them and require more tweaks.

    ... oh well.

Not like I was ever close to owning a pair either way.

Sign me up for a pair. I've been saving my pennies for 2000's so this is great news! I'd like to see a controller version of the current 2000 model that costs less but does not had CD capability...... USB/Advanced HID/SD only.

Im surprised that they are discontinuing them so quickly - hopefully that will me a price break in the future - as for a touch screen though, I don't think i would want that in a CDJ - I would say that it probably would not be all that accurate, and even if it was - just another thing to act up on you while mixing.

    Im all for buttons instead.

true but the CDJ 1000 wasn't discontinued, the MK1 was - One would assume then that the CDJ2000 Nexus is just a fancier way of saying cdj2000 MK2 I suppose
