Wow. On my holidays just now so internet ain't great, and time is short, so not listened to all of each mix yet.
That said, I am always amazed on these things. I generally think of myself as pretty good on the decks (probably due to the praise from all my mates who cant mix mind).
Entering thes battles reminds me of exactly how average I really am. Some very nice work there by al involved.
Any chance the other entrants can pm me their track listings? Obviously putting them up here gives the game away about who's mix is who's.
Cheers guys. Good luck to you both.
Technics 1210 mk2's, Pioneer CDJ 500, Allen & Heath DB4, Reloop Contour Controller Edition, Sennheiser HD25 1-II or Allen & Heath XD2-53's depending on my mood...

I'd have to go back and figure out what tracks they are - but it'd be possible to get relatively close to a complete tracklist.
Giving the mixes a listen now while at work. I'm sure they'll be enjoyable.
ETA: Good luck to you both as well - now we need some votes
No love for our battle?
Good mixes mates! Reminds me how i'm just a newcomer in this artform.
What's the deadline for this? I'm planning to get through these this week.
Closes 2/14.
Thanks for giving it a go. Will rep after you vote :-)
Hi all,
I voted for #3, and will try to explain why.
But first, a disclaimer: all mixes are well above my current level, so please don't take my criticism too seriously.
For mix #1: I think the transitions could have been a bit smoother, and I think the phrasing may have been off once or twice.
in mix #2: I feel like it was too busy in the transitions, some effects were used, it may have been too varied for the length of the mix.
mix #3: probably 'technically' the best mix, personally, I think there were a few too many breakdowns, again, for the length of the mix.
After the poll is closed, could we maybe hear how each mix was made (as in: CDJS, Serato, etc) ?
I sure hope there's going to be a few more voters on this one !
Thanks for voting + rep
All the mixes were fine from a technical stand point. With that said, my vote goes to the mix that got my feet tapping the most, and that is mix #2.
Thanks for voting... + rep.
