Good setup under a grand? Ts? B52?

    Hey guys

Looking for a good setup to do small mobile gigs
Something portable and easy to set up

    Narrowed my choices to:
    1) b52 matrix 1000
    2) 2x alto ts115a

I used to have the b52 matrix 1000 and it was amazing for house parties, bass was incredible, im just considering other options as i buy PAs again

the alto ts115a seems promising, almost 2x the power for the about the same price.. Just not sure on sound quality.

Which is louder? Which is more crisp? Better for house music?

i know the ts115a go for around 370ea here at GC
The matrix b52 1000 go for just under a grand, but i have seen some used around CL for 5-600

Kind of leaning towards the b52 because potentially cheaper for better bass where i can just upgrade the puny satellites if i need more power?

    what do u guys suggest?

I never heard of the Alto brand. If you never heard the altos before and you were happy with the B52s. I think you should get the B52s only cause you have a better chance of being happy with your purchase. Oh another thing. Those altos may advertise that wattage. But almost never actually what they say they are

I'd lean towards the B-52 Matrix 1000 V2. But, if you want to upgrade the satalites on it, don't upgrade to cabs over 150 watts per side, because that's the max for the amp. It isn't reccomended, either, but it can be done.

Why not just get two good tops and add a sub later? The RCF312A at $900 a pair have probably the nicest sound for any active speaker in its price range.
