yeah, its cool using a gopro for shots like that too, is your lumix waterproof? or do you have a housing for it?

What sol said.. wanted to take the dslr fishing, saltwater and camera.. nah.. So in came the lumix , that actually further spawned the new dslr purchase too. I was using it more than the old 10d.

It's been about 3 months since i've been able to use my camera. Dropped it, and now the shutter doesn't open.

99% of what i shoot winds up looking bad. thats why i say i suck ass. note though that i dont do any sort of editing... i havnt gotten into photochop to edit yet, im still learning to use my camera when i have time. all i can do is improve, thats how i look at it.

You'd be surprised. Back in the film days, it was common for photographers to go through shitloads of film just to get a few good shots. Even with digital, they can fill up a handful of SD cards for just a few "perfect" shots.

Even with the skill pro photogs have, on some shots, you just get lucky. The Catch is one such example.

Truth. Most of my stuff is event photography, and I can tell you this: I chuck a LOT more shots than I post.
