That's it, I'm moving to Manila!
Beautiful last shot!
Hahaha! They were actually taken in Subic Bay, a formal US Naval base. It's about 150km northwest of Manila. Subic Naval base was the largest naval base outside of US back then. While Clark Air Base, also in the Philippines (100km north of Manila) was the largest US Air Force Base outside of the US. Both bases were evacuated in 1991-92 when our stupid senators and president did not grant the renewal of the contracts. They stationed here for almost 100 years (1899 to 1992).

A wider shot of the iconic Tank Man image from 1989 where you can just make out the civilian standing in front of the lead tank and shows how far back they go. The original close up image is my earliest memory of seeing war on TV news. This image is like something out of a computer game but the story behind it and how the tanks shut down their engines leading to a conversation with the civilian is amazing.

Another image which shows Tank Man on the left approaching the tanks.
Here's a couple of pics of my newborn; he's almost 3 weeks old.
