If you condone any of these things that have been happening in the last few years (jumping off stage while performing, throwing cakes, pre-mixed sets at LIVE shows, etc) then feel free and chime in now so I can make a mental note of a prepubescent choad, and delete your opinions from my mind from here on out.

To each their own people. I seems a lot of folks really like the show he puts on for them and he is rich as all get out for doing it. Turns out that means he is on to something. And I grew up listening to and still listen to punk rock so I think the trampoline is brilliant.
As far as pre made sets goes, yeah that's lame but at the same time people are there to hear HIS music and I am sure that is about all he plays (dunno never been to his show) but He is really just Steve Aoki not DJ Aoki or DJ Steve, so he just puts on his own brand of show. Just so happens he uses CDJ's and a mixer to make the music for his show. And you cant really blame the guy for wanting to use high quality gear.
Just because you produce EDM does it mean you have to be like John Digweed when you put on shows? Looks to me like he is doing just fine and everyone including himself is having a blast. Isn't that what it is all about, loving what you do? And do any of you really believe the guy would not kill it if he came to spin just a straight set? I bet he would.
Personally I think he was just a spoiled rich kid that found his niche. Now he is making a fortune for himself, and I respect that.

I understand quite clearly. You don't. He's not canceling out of respect, dude's a tool bag that almost broke his neck. He's fronting about why he's really taking off. Some kids got stomped out and he's trying to show respect but in his FB post it almost comes across as if he's bragging about how rad his shows are. Again, Fuck Aoki!
